Sahar Tabar Imprisoned for Posting Edited Photos
Sahar Tabar, known as the 'Zombie Angelina Jolie' for her edited photos, has shown her 'real face' following her release from an Iranian prison.
Years ago, Sahar gained notoriety by sharing photos online, earning the moniker of a 'zombie-like' version of the actress.
The haunting images depicted Sahar with hollow eyes and a skeletal jawline, a greyish complexion, and light blue contact lenses.
Despite Sahar claiming she exaggerated the edits for 'amusement' and as 'self-expression', she was arrested by Iranian authorities in October 2019.
She faced charges of blasphemy, inciting violence, earning income through inappropriate means, and corrupting youth.
The arrest was seen as part of a crackdown on social media influencers. In December 2020, she received a 10-year sentence but served only 14 months.

Sahar had once claimed to have undergone over 50 surgeries, as reported by The Independent, reported, but this was later proven false.
In reality, it's believed Sahar only had rhinoplasty, liposuction, and lip fillers.
With these revelations, many have been curious about Sahar's actual appearance without the filters, which was revealed after her release from prison.
Following her release, Sahar appeared on the state-owned channel Rokna, leaving many surprised by her true appearance.
Sahar looked nothing like the eerie viral photos she posted in 2017.
During the program, she stated: "My mother was telling me to stop, but I didn’t listen. Sometimes the words of a stranger or a friend can be more important than those of a parent."

Regarding her actual appearance, someone commented on social media: "It’s incredible how much effort people invest in what others do to feel comfortable in their own skin."
Another person commented: "Wow! It’s so unfortunate how far people will go for fame…"
Apparently, Sahar had always dreamed of being famous and wanted to be in the spotlight since childhood.

She confessed to applying makeup and altering her photos with Photoshop to increase her Instagram followers.
"Cyberspace was a simple method," she remarked about how effortlessly she promoted her name globally.
"It was far simpler than pursuing an acting career."
