One fan described the show - which boasts a 97 percent rating - as 'Korean Outlander meets Iron Chef.'

The series features K-pop idol and actress Im Yoon-ah as Yeon Ji-yeong, a skilled chef specializing in French cuisine who has gained fame in contemporary times.

On the day she triumphs in a significant cooking competition, she is inexplicably transported back in time during a solar eclipse.

Specifically, she finds herself in the Joseon Dynasty, one of the most enduring dynasties in world history, which ruled Korea for over five centuries from 1392 to 1897.

In the royal court, Ji-yeong’s contemporary cooking techniques astonish and impress. She eventually becomes the palace chef for King Yi Heon (Lee Chae-min), who, despite having a reputation as a tyrant, is also renowned for his exquisite taste.

As Ji-yeong adjusts to life in the palace and navigates court politics, she encounters rivalries with favored concubine Kang Mok-ju, portrayed by Kang Han-na, plots from Prince Je Seon (Choi Gwi-hwa), and the daunting challenge of gaining the king’s trust and affection through her culinary skills.

The series, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, airs on the Korean network tvN and is also available internationally on Netflix.

Fans gave it an almost perfect 97 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with one fan saying it's 'packed with every delight!'

They commented: "The historical set and costume design, stunning cinematography, the amusing interaction between the two main characters, and the blend of modern and traditional styles... It's so fresh and exhilarating!"

Another viewer wrote: "I absolutely adore this series; it's unpredictable, with each episode being more thrilling than the last."

"Action, mystery, a touch of romance, court intrigue, fantasy/sci-fi! This is one of my favorite K-dramas on Netflix in recent years!" another person remarked.

Bon Appétit, Your Majesty is currently streaming on Netflix, with its final two episodes available on Saturday, September 27, and Sunday, September 28.
