Erika Kirk has been speaking at Charlie Kirk's memorial
Erika Kirk disclosed what the surgeon informed her regarding her husband's death after he was assassinated earlier this month.
On September 10, Kirk was shot fatally in the neck while addressing an event at Utah Valley University during his Turning Point USA comeback tour.
Two days afterward, authorities announced that a suspect had been apprehended, later identified as Tyler Robinson, 22, who has since faced seven charges.
During Kirk's memorial on Sunday, many individuals spoke, including his wife, Erika, who delivered an emotional speech at the podium.

She discussed their marriage, her recent role as the new CEO of Turning Point USA, and her experience when she viewed his body in Utah.
Erika recounted the moment she saw the 31-year-old's body in the hospital, stating (via The Guardian): "I saw the wound that ended his life. I felt everything he would expect me to feel. I felt shock, horror, and a level of heartache I didn’t even know existed.
"But there was something else, too. Even in death, I could see the man I love."
Erika continued by sharing that the surgeon assured her Kirk did not suffer, saying: "I also noticed the faintest smile on his lips. And that told me something important. It revealed a great mercy from God in this tragedy.
"When I saw that, it told me Charlie didn't suffer. Even the doctor told me - it was so instant that even if Charlie had been shot in the operating room itself, nothing could have been done.
"There was no pain, no fear, no agony. One moment, Charlie was doing what he loved, arguing and debating on campus, fighting for the gospel and truth in front of a big crowd, then he blinked.
"He blinked and saw his savior in paradise."
TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet mentioned that he had also spoken with one of the surgeons who tried to save Kirk's life, as he wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "I want to address some of the discussion about the absence of an exit wound with Charlie.
"I usually don't engage in most of this kind of online conversation, and I apologize as this is somewhat graphic, but in this instance, the fact that there wasn't an exit wound is likely another miracle, and I want people to be aware.
"I just spoke with the surgeon who treated Charlie at the hospital... He said the bullet 'absolutely should have gone through, which is very, very normal for a high-powered, high-velocity round.
"I've seen wounds from this caliber many times and they always just go through everything. This would have brought down a moose or two, an elk, etc.'
"But it didn't go through. Charlie's body stopped it."
