Actor and photographer Brad Everett Young has passed away at the age of 46, his publicist confirmed.

On Sunday (September 14), Brad Everett Young was involved in a fatal head-on collision with a wrong-way driver on a Los Angeles freeway.

Paul Christensen, his publicist, stated that Young was driving alone on the 134 Freeway late Sunday night after attending a movie screening.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction collided with his car.

Young was declared dead at the scene, while the other driver was taken to a hospital.

Christensen told NBC News in a statement: "Brad was a regular at Hollywood events, red carpets, premieres, galas, industry parties, and charity functions. He had a talent for capturing both the glamour of celebrity and the quiet humanity behind the flash.

"Watching him at work—greeting subjects, setting up lighting, or simply navigating the crowd with his camera—was to see someone who truly belonged there, not just as a documentarian, but as an integral part of those evenings."

Young captured images of stars such as Buffy icon Sarah Michelle Gellar, Stranger Things' David Harbour, as well as Seth Green, Emma Caulfield Ford, and Gilles Marini.

His work was published in magazines like Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, and PEOPLE.

Young also amassed a significant online following.

Before his photography career, he began acting in 1999 and appeared in Grey's Anatomy as an appendectomy patient in season five.

His other acting credits included Boy Meets World, Charmed, 90210, and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Young also established a nonprofit, Dream Loud Official, dedicated to preserving art and music education in schools.

“Brad’s passion for both the arts and the people behind them was unmatched,” Christensen stated. “He lived his mission of keeping creativity alive, and his legacy will continue through Dream Loud Official.”

General Hospital star Chris McKenna led tributes to Young on social media.

Although Young himself never appeared in the medical drama, he did photograph the cast, with some even collaborating with him on Dream Loud Official.

Posting on X, previously known as Twitter, McKenna expressed: "I’m in complete shock. We just did a shoot a couple of weeks ago and we texted this weekend."

He added: "Brad was such a talented, funny, warm, caring guy. He gave his time, his talent, and raised money for underserved schools. The world is darker today without his light. Rest easy, bud."

Fellow General Hospital star Jen Lilley shared on Instagram that she woke up 'in shock and disbelief' at the news.

She mentioned he was 'so much more than everyone’s favorite celebrity photographer,' and added: "We'd hang for hours and talk about life and the ups and downs of our crazy industry.

"We’d eat pie and cake and talk about our Virginia roots. You loved your mom and brother more than life. I just have no words for all I’m feeling. And I know it’s going to be a while before I realize you’re gone."
