The celebrity couple officially filed for divorce on September 30

Country singer Keith Urban may potentially receive over $11 million due to a clause reportedly included in the prenuptial agreement he and Nicole Kidman signed long before deciding to part ways this year.

Kidman and Urban became a well-known celebrity couple after meeting in LA in 2005 and beginning their relationship, eventually marrying the following year.

The couple has two children together, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. They are reported to have separated earlier this year, with Kidman officially filing for divorce on September 30.

As per court documents obtained by People, Kidman noted their separation date as September 30, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their breakup.

Details regarding their divorce have surfaced following the filing, including one significant request from Kidman concerning their children. Additionally, alleged details about the prenuptial agreement they signed years ago have also come to light.

As reported by Radar Online, Hello!, and other sources, one clause in the prenup addressed Urban's use of drugs and alcohol.

The singer has been candid about his struggles with substance abuse, revealing that Kidman staged an 'intervention' just a few months after their marriage.

In a 2010 interview with Oprah Winfrey, he discussed how Kidman could have left, stating: "I'm just so glad she didn't, and she made a decision to turn around and initiate ultimately this intervention, and it was done in such a way that the love in that room at that moment was just right. I was like, 'Put the cuffs on, let's go'."

The prenup reportedly included a provision that Urban would receive $600,000 from Kidman for each year of their marriage, provided he abstained from drugs and alcohol, leading to it being dubbed a 'cocaine clause'.

Over their 19-year marriage, this totals just over $11 million.

Last year, Urban spoke at Kidman's AFI Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony about her ongoing support for his sobriety throughout their marriage, stating: "We got married in 2006, and just four months into our marriage, my untreated addictions nearly destroyed it."

"Four months into a marriage, and I found myself in rehab for three months, unsure of what would become of us. Nic overcame every negative voice – likely even some of her own – and chose love. And here we are tonight, 18 years later. Her ability to love is unlike anyone I've ever known."
