Kourtney Kardashian was stunned by her sister's health news

In the premiere of season seven of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian disclosed a concerning health update to her family after an MRI scan revealed alarming findings.

The latest season of the reality TV show premiered today (October 23), featuring Kim K openly discussing topics ranging from her health to her relationship with Kanye West.

During the show, Kim shared a health update, revealing that her psoriasis has returned. She stated, “I haven’t had psoriasis since I got divorced, and it just started coming back.

“I mean, I have psoriasis again. I felt more stressed, probably just because I had to super, super protect what I had to protect.”

Psoriasis is a skin condition that causes red and sometimes itchy patches on the skin. However, stress has also been linked to other diagnoses Kim has received.

During another part of the episode, the Skims founder was talking with her older sister, Kourtney, about a recent hospital visit where doctors found a 'small' aneurysm in Kim's brain.

Kourtney was understandably surprised, reacting with shock to her sister's revelation.

According to the Mayo Clinic, a brain aneurysm is a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain, believed to develop due to blood flow putting pressure on a weak spot in the vessel wall.

Brain aneurysms are common and usually not serious, especially if they're small, as Kim suggested hers was.

However, they can become life-threatening if they rupture.

Later in the show, Kim was seen undergoing an MRI scan, with the businesswoman noting that doctors had told her the aneurysm was likely brought on by stress.

According to Supreme Vascular, stress itself does not cause a brain aneurysm to develop, but it can raise your risk of high blood pressure, which in turn heightens your risk of experiencing a brain aneurysm.

The Cleveland Clinic notes that researchers believe high blood pressure is the most common cause of a rupture, with ongoing stress being one of the factors that can elevate blood pressure.

When discussing her more recent health challenges, Kim mentioned she had felt 'pretty tested' by West, even after filing for divorce in 2021.

She remarked: “People think that I have the luxury of walking away. My ex will be in my life no matter what. We have four kids together.”
