Lil Nas X charged after allegedly assaulting officers while walking naked in streets of LA

Lil Nas X has been arrested and charged with four felonies following an alleged assault on an officer who discovered him unclothed in LA.

The musician, legally known as Montero Lamar Hill, was charged by prosecutors with three counts of battery causing injury to a police officer and one felony count of resisting an executive officer, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

The rapper was initially charged with suspicion of misdemeanor for obstructing an officer on Thursday.

According to reports, he rushed at the officers when confronted and was subsequently arrested.

Police, suspecting a potential overdose, transported him to a hospital where he stayed for several hours before being transferred to jail, where he has been held since.

Reports indicate that Hill was dressed in briefs and white cowboy boots when he was arrested.

The Atlanta rapper and singer gained fame with his massive 2018 hit, Old Town Road, a blend of country and hip-hop. This track set a record by staying at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks.

Renowned for his genre-defying, innovative sounds and style, his debut full studio album, 2021's Montero, reached number two on the Billboard album chart and received a nomination for a Grammy for album of the year.

In April, Hill announced on his social media account that he was experiencing partial facial paralysis. The next month, he withdrew from his headlining performance at West Hollywood's Outloud Pride festival.

"Totally lost control of the right side of my face," the rapper wrote, captioning a video that seemed to show the 26-year-old in good spirits despite undergoing medical treatment.
