Rihanna and A$AP Rocky announce the birth of their third child and share the baby's name

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have welcomed their third child and shared the first photo of the newborn.

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have been in a relationship since 2020, and over the past five years, they have welcomed their two sons, RZA, three, and Riot, two.

Among their fans, it's become a running joke that the couple will announce another baby on the way before they announce new music is coming.

Rhianna, 37, has once again expanded her family, announcing the birth of their third child.

Yesterday (September 24), the singer posted a sweet photo on Instagram of herself and her newborn daughter, confirming she was born on September 13.

Fans flooded the Instagram post with congratulatory messages for the couple.

One fan commented: “Yes!!!!!! Manifested it, you know she will be beyond gorgeous congratulations Riri.”

Another wrote: “Omg the Princess has arrived.”

One person wrote: “Awwww congrats babe. I am so, so happy for you!! A beautiful girl!”

Another joked: "Okay, babygirl is here, now do you think we can get some music?? Congratulations."

Rihanna also disclosed her daughter’s unique name, and people are already deciphering the sweet tributes it makes to the men in her life.

The baby is named Rocki Irish Mayers.

Since her father is A$AP Rocky, ‘Rocki’ is an obvious nod to the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers.

The Irish part of the name also appears to honor Rihanna’s father and his heritage, as he was of African, Irish, English, and Scottish descent.

In a recent interview, A$AP also mentioned his wish to have a girl after having two sons.

He expressed, “I hope it's a girl. Truly, I do. We're praying for a girl. The first time, we wanted to know the baby's gender. The second time, we chose not to find out.

“For the third time, we prefer to wait until the birth. I have a feeling it's going to be a girl. This pregnancy feels so different from the previous two.

“You can sense it from the experience. I really hope for a baby girl. I need that.”

A$AP also shared insights on how he and Rihanna maintain their relationship.

He mentioned they strive not to discuss work when together, allowing them to focus on quality family time.

He added: “We don't talk too much about work, because we deal with that all day, every day.

“When you come home, it's about family. It's about your relationship. It's about your household. It ain't about all that other s***.”
