The letter was posted by the President of the United States on his social media platform, Trust Social.
Donald Trump has expressed his strong opinion on how the Russia-Ukraine conflict might conclude. The Republican stated that if NATO does not intervene, he will consider them as 'wasting' the United States' time, energy, and resources.
Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged all European countries to halt their purchases of oil and gas from Moscow.
During an interview with ABC News, he stated: "We must stop [buying] any type of energy from Russia, and furthermore, any agreements with Russia. We can't engage in any deals if we want to stop them."
Currently, US President Trump, 79, has made a similar assertion in a letter addressed to ‘all NATO’ nations and ‘the world’.
The message, shared on his social media platform, Truth Social, promised that he was prepared to impose ‘major sanctions’ on Vladimir Putin’s Russia, provided NATO agreed to stop purchasing oil from the country.
