Bad Bunny recently responded to criticism regarding his Super Bowl booking

Turning Point USA, a conservative organization founded by Charlie Kirk, has announced that it will host its own halftime show while Bad Bunny is set to perform at next year's Super Bowl.

While millions tune in annually for the NFL games, many others watch the Super Bowl primarily for the halftime show.

Excitement has been growing about who will perform at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, in February 2026, with the NFL recently announcing that Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny has been selected for the event.

This choice has stirred some controversy at the White House, particularly with President Donald Trump, who called it 'crazy'.

Turning Point USA has now confirmed it will provide an alternative to the Super Bowl LX halftime show, focusing on 'faith, family and freedom'.

"It's true, Turning Point USA is excited to announce The All American Halftime Show," a tweet from the organization stated. "Details about performers and the event will be shared soon."

Bad Bunny has faced significant criticism from conservative commentators, particularly after choosing not to bring his tour to the US due to concerns that ICE might target concertgoers.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has confirmed that ICE agents will be present at the Super Bowl.

"I am responsible for ensuring that everyone attending the Super Bowl can enjoy it and leave safely, which is what America represents," she mentioned on The Benny Show podcast.

"So yes, we’ll be present throughout the venue. We’re going to enforce the law."

On Saturday (October 4), Bad Bunny used his hosting role on the 51st season of Saturday Night Live to address further criticism.

He remarked to applause: "I'm doing the Super Bowl halftime show and I'm very happy," adding with sarcasm: "And I think everyone is very happy about it. Even Fox News."

The announcement from Turning Point USA is one of the most significant since Erika Kirk, Kirk's wife, assumed the role of CEO after the assassination of her husband.

The right-wing commentator was fatally shot at an event organized by Turning Point USA at Utah Valley University last month.

22-year-old suspect Tyler Robinson - who is currently being held without bail - faces multiple charges, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child.
