Tyler Robinson's alarming texts before arrest as FBI investigates on Zandiego

It is believed that Tyler Robinson, 22, has assassinated Charlie Kirk

The FBI has disclosed texts purportedly sent by Tyler Robinson that demonstrate his 'confession' to the murder of Charlie Kirk.

Robinson was taken into custody last week in relation to the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The 22-year-old Utah native was located less than 48 hours following the tragic event. It is reported that Robinson's family turned him in after seeing the FBI's public requests to identify the suspect.

According to reports, Robinson has not been cooperating with law enforcement since his arrest, as stated by Utah Governor Spencer Cox.

The FBI has been gradually releasing information about its ongoing investigation into Robinson, including that DNA discovered at the crime scene matched his.

The DNA was found on a screwdriver retrieved from the rooftop where the fatal shot was fired, FBI Director Kash Patel told Fox News Channel.

DNA was also detected on the towel that the rifle believed to have been used to kill Kirk was wrapped in.

Patel has since provided more details about the FBI's main suspect and how Robinson reportedly confessed to his friends in a group chat that he was responsible.

He wrote in the Discord chat, according to The Washington Post: "Hey guys, I have bad news for you all. It was me at UVU yesterday. I'm sorry for all of this."

Robinson's messages continued: "I'm surrendering through a sheriff friend in a few moments. Thanks for all the good times and laughs, you’ve all been so amazing, thank you all for everything."

The 22-year-old was reportedly arrested about two hours after sending the messages.

This news comes as the FBI investigates whether Robinson was part of an 'extended network'.

"We’ll be issuing a lot of documents and subpoenas to investigate if there was an extended network," FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino stated on Fox News yesterday.

Bongino mentioned that Robinson showed 'multiple warning signs' before the shooting, and the agency aims to determine if Kirk's murder was 'part of a larger effort'.

Meanwhile, Utah authorities are set to file capital murder charges against Robinson possibly as soon as today (September 16) for the murder of Kirk, a key figure in conservative politics who became a confidant of President Donald Trump after founding Turning Point USA in Arizona, one of the nation’s largest political organizations.
