Snoop has taken on the role of a grandfather, sharing that Zion has called him 'Papa Snoop'. In a recent interview on the It's Giving podcast, he reminisced about spending time with his younger relatives.
During the interview, Snoop shared a memory of taking one of his grandsons to the movies to watch the 2022 film Lightyear, which is a prequel to Buzz Lightyear's story before the Toy Story films.
In the film, a prominent character has two mothers who are in a same-sex relationship - a family dynamic that Snoop mentioned prompted his grandson to inquire about.
Snoop remarked: "They're spreading it everywhere [...] They're saying, 'She had a baby — with another woman'. So, during the movie, my grandson turns to me and asks, 'Papa Snoop? How did she have a baby with a woman? She's a woman!'"
Recalling his response to this question, Snoop said, "Oh sh*t, I didn't come here for this sh*t. I just came to watch the damn movie."
The rapper expressed his fear of going to the movies due to the situation, stating: "You're putting me in the midst of things that I don't have an answer for."
"These are children. Do we need to show that at their age? They'll ask questions... I don't have the answers," he added.
